Abstract. The slight relationship between compensation and further compensation in Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004:
protection obligations and passengers’ rights. With this order, the European Court of Justice gives a preliminary ruling concerning the relationship between compensation pursuant to art. 7 and further compensation pursuant to art. 12 of Regulation (EC) no. 261/2004 in the context of a prolonged delay of a flight as part of a package holiday. It is an opportunity to discuss the bases, purposes and future perspectives of the protection obligations and passenger assistance measures provided for by European legislation.
