Abstract
Regulation of the railway sector: the news in the light of the Green New Deal and the fourth railway package. Trans-European networks, with particular regard to rail networks, have been placed at the center of recent European policy. The goal that the European Union set itself was to standardize the rules of railway management in all Member States, especially guaranteeing interconnection and the right of access. The objective of this work is to retrace the main European interventions, passing from the Green New Deal up to the fourth and final railway package which definitively establishes the regulatory principles of the sector.
